Why buy a wreath this Christmas

Thursday, December 10, 2015

Wreaths come in many styles and finishes from handmade holly wreaths to impressive fir wreaths, and dried fruity numbers . At Cirencester Christmas Trees we sell wreaths from 9” to 20”. So what do I do with a wreath, I hear you ask?

Traditionally wreaths are used for graves and or doors as a celebration of life in the darkness of winter because the evergreen leaves symbolised immortality. A wreath on the door also is a sign of welcome.

If you don’t have a wooden door with a nail in, you can use a wreath hanger which sits on the top of the door (we have these for sale for £3).

On Christmas day your wreath can also become a table decoration with candles in the centre or around it. The traditional Christian Advent wreath would have four red candles, with one  lit every Sunday and a white candle lit on Christmas day

See a selection of our wreaths online or come and visit us at Cirencester Christmas Trees to choose from our wide selection of fir, fruit and holly wreaths. We also sell a range of candles for your Christmas table.Opening times 9am-6pm daily and 10-6pm on Sunday
