If you think of your Christmas Tree as a cut flower, you won’t go wrong:
- Choose a stand or bucket that allows you to water the tree.
- Trim an Inch off the base of the tree, so it can absorb water.
- Don’t position the tree near a fire or radiator or in the hottest room in the house.
- Water regularly, trees can drink up to a pint a day.
For Rooted trees:
- 1.Don’t position the tree near a fire or radiator or in the hottest room in the house, even with roots if the tree is too hot it will shed needles.
- 2. Place a plate or tray under the tree to hold water
- 3. Water regularly, trees can drink up to a pint a day.
Recycling your Tree
Christmas Trees can be recycled at the refuse sites around Gloucestershire.
